Image is one of the most important characteristics of Chinese ancient poetry,that is to say,poetry should be represented by the metaphorical images.Because of the great differences existed in different cultures,the metaphorical meaning of images will be inevitably lost in translating.Therefore,when reconstructing the metaphorical images,translators should adopt the compensating method creatively in order to minimize the loss of the metaphorical meaning of images.
